pH 0–14 Test Strips – How to Use 💧

These strips are used to quickly check the pH level of water, including aquarium water. The pH scale runs from 0 to 14.

1. Take one test strip without touching the testing area.
2. Dip the testing end into the aquarium water briefly, then remove it.
3. Shake off excess water gently.
4. Wait for the color to develop according to the package instructions—usually only a few seconds.
5. Compare the strip’s color with the pH color chart supplied with the product.
6. Match the closest color to determine your water’s pH.

For freshwater aquariums, many common community fish do well around pH 6.5–7.5, but the ideal range depends on the species.

Tip: Test regularly, especially after water changes. Avoid making sudden large pH adjustments, as rapid changes can stress fish.
