A nutrient-rich substrate combined with regular dosing of macronutrients (NPK) and micronutrients, particularly iron (Fe), is crucial for healthy development and to prevent fading of its signature pigmentation. Unlike some hardier varieties, A. reineckii ‘Rosanervig’ has a softer, more delicate stem structure, making it more sensitive to handling and pruning stress; care should be taken during planting or trimming to avoid stem damage. It is best positioned as a background plant in nano or small aquariums, where its height and color create a dramatic focal point, or as a midground feature in larger tanks for added depth and contrast.
